Can I Move The Tub In A 2nd Story Bathroom?

Brad from Home Love Construction is standing on the third story of a townhome on Clearwater Beach. He is making a video to provide an update on a remodeling project that is currently in the rough-in phase. The project involves updating a bathroom and adding a few new features to the home.

The shower in the bathroom has two grohe valves, one for the shower head and one for the shower head on the other side of the shower. The only unfortunate aspect of the shower is the drain, which is off-centered. This is due to a large steel beam that could not be cut through, so the drain had to be moved. However, the homeowner was understanding and appreciates the limitation.

One of the most exciting aspects of the remodel is the addition of an “infinity niche” in the shower. This means that the niche runs all the way from one end of the wall to the other, giving the shower a clean and modern look. The homeowner will appreciate this 2.0 version of a shower niche.

The bathroom also includes a toilet that has been stubbed out with a new water line, and an outlet for a bidet will be added next to the toilet. Brad highly recommends adding an extra outlet near the toilet for a bidet, even if one is not currently being used. This will make it easier to add one later, as adding an outlet to an existing wall can be challenging.

In the master bedroom, there was a porch that has been enclosed and converted into a sitting area. The exterior wall is load-bearing, so no changes could be made, but the space has been planned out to fit a lamp and furniture. A huge walk-in closet has also been added, effectively increasing the square footage of the home without adding an addition.

The homeowner was able to add additional square footage to the house by closing off an open-air area that went from the first floor all the way up to the second floor. The homeowner was clever in doing so, and Brad was impressed by the added square footage.

Overall, the remodeling project is progressing well and the homeowner is going to be thrilled with the new and updated features in the home. Brad is passionate about adding square footage to homes, and he is excited to see the final result of this project. He will continue to provide updates on the progress of the remodel, so stay tuned for more information.
